ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mr. Burhanpurkar was born in a small village in India in 1963 and emigrated with his parents to Canada in 1967. He is internationally recognized pioneer in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. He has served as a reviewer, session chairperson, and presenter at numerous international scientific conferences. He has also been featured on numerous prominent television programs, radio talk shows, newspapers and magazines internationally (over 200 press clippings) including such notables as the New York Times, Washington Post, Globe & Mail, Financial Times, LA Times and others.
In the capacity of a management executive, Mr. Burhanpurkar has over 18 years experience in founding and/or managing high tech startups. He has conducted business with companies in over 25 countries and has developed strategic alliances and joint ventures with fortune 1000 multi-nationals at the highest corporate levels. He has also set up global sales & distribution channels, and managed several multi-national high tech product development projects in Europe, Asia and North America.
In 1985, he terminated his studies at the University of Toronto in Electrical Engineering in his fourth and final year to form Cyberworks Inc. which specializes in the development of artificially intelligent robots. There, he pioneered the development of a new generation of intelligent robot technology which allowed machines to see and understand the geometric structure of the world around them. This allowed robotic machines to perform complex tasks without human preprogramming. Mr. Burhanpurkar then served as a senior management consultant in the high tech industry. Presently Mr. Burhanpurkar is CEO of a group of privately held medical research and high tech companies.
His interests in metaphysics and spiritualism began in early childhood and has remained a core part of his life ever since. Some of his hobbies have included full-contact karate, photography, world travel, and a wide range of sports. He continues to write on various topics of interest.
